In August 2013, I travelled to Eldoret in the Rift Valley area of northwest Kenya
This short video presentation from Pastor Peter Simwa outlines some of the challenges he and his church, Higher Vision Centre, face working in this community with very few resources. They do a great job in providing hope and opportunities for many youth there. The land the Church sits on has just been sold, and they now have to move. Mission Living Waters would like to assist them by buying a plot of land which is now identified in the heart of Eldoret so they can continue their valuable role working in this poor community.
We need funding to buy this land; the total cost is £2500. Your valued donations, large or small, will make a big difference to what we can do here. Our goal is to help Pastor Simwa and his team at Higher Vision Centre to continue serving the community in Eldoret. You can donate now via our donate page, stating 'Eldoret Appeal' in the comments box, or feel free to contact us for more information. Thank you, and God bless you.
In August 2013 I go to Nairobi before travelling north to a place called Eldoret, where I will meet Pastor Peter Simwa, pictured in the slideshow below. This is new ground for the MLW Trust, and I am excited to respond to his invitation to go and see the work he and his church are doing to help their community and win the lost for Jesus. Pastor Peter is arranging some special meetings for me to share the love and power of Christ Jesus. What an amazing privilege! I look forward to seeing what God will do in what I believe is a trip of real purpose. The Mission Living Waters trust exists to share the gospel, win the lost and equip the Church to do the same in whatever way the Lord leads. So it is a privilege to have this opportunity to visit and work with Pastor Peter for the gospel.
Later in October I go back to Kenya, this time with a small team, going much further south to an area between Shariani and Malindi in the southeast… I believe the salvation of souls is at the centre of God’s heart, that not one soul would be lost (1 Timothy 2:4). Here we will hold some outside meetings to reach the lost and win them for Christ, to deliver those who are bound and to see the sick healed according to the word of God.

Seeing the joy on people’s faces as they are healed or receive Christ and know they are changed is something I cannot easily put into words, especially with young children. You can help us to win souls for Christ and achieve so much; every trip has its costs, with travel, the setting up of small crusades, internal transport, equipment, fuel, food, etc. If you would like to sow into this work and help us to reach the poor and the underprivileged and win them for Christ, you can do that by donating online now via our donate page.
Just before Christmas, we ran a crusade in the Takaye village. After preaching the gospel, the Takaye Church, supported by Mission Living Waters, fed many a Christmas dinner, sending them home with food they would not have otherwise had. Many were saved that weekend, and many were healed to the glory of God, who did it all.
But at the same time, the Takaye Church lost their nursery school teacher, who taught 17 young people each day; a lack of funding meant they could not hold the teacher. Just £65.00 per month would pay a teacher’s salary and help these young people to get basic nursery education and grow up knowing the truth and the love of Jesus, understanding their worth.
God bless you for your prayerful consideration.
